Aussie rules football is the fastest growing female sport in Victoria. At Oak Park football Club we are committed to grow our female program. Our philosophy is to not just teach our players how to play footy, but how to be social, happy, strong and confident women who are ready to tackle all of life’s challenges and succeed at whatever they set their minds to.
Our inaugural girls team started in 2018 with one junior team and has been growing ever since. We finished the 2022 season with 2 teams in juniors and 1 senior side. We are working on fielding teams in U10, 12, 14 and 16’s in juniors along with U18.5 and a senior side in the 2023 season.
If your daughter would like to join one of our teams, or just come and try, pre-season training is starting on Monday 30th January 2023.

Time: U8, 10, 12 and 14’s 5 – 6pm
U16 and U18.5 5:30 – 6:30pm (Training will be at this time until further notice)
On Monday 6th February we will be holding a parent information session in the clubrooms starting at 5:30pm. We will also have a sausage sizzle after training which will be a great time to catch up with old friends and meet new friends.
A lot of hard work has been happening during the ‘off season’ and we have managed to obtain two major sponsors solely for the female program. Due to this we are very excited to announce that we will be supplying all players with a ‘surprise’ gift. More exciting things such as individual team subsidised nights and events during the season will be happening in 2023 so watch this space. If you know any business or person that would like to be a sponsor, please speak to Dave or Cindy. The more sponsors we have, no matter how big or small, the more we can do for our girls.
